Sasar Lahir 60,000 Graduan Ph.D

MOHAMED KHALED melihat sijil milik Siti Norwardatulaina Mohd.

The G1 phone cost about $179 with a two-year contract. It will sell in Oct. 22 and heads to Britain in November and other European countries early next year.
T-Mobile stores will sell the phone in the U.S cities that will be 21 cities including New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Miami.

In other areas, people will be able to buy the phone from T-Mobile's Web site. The phone does work on T-Mobile's slower data network, but it's optimized for the faster networks. It can also connect at Wi-Fi hotspots.

The data plan for the phone will cost $25 per month on top of the calling service, at the low end of the range for data plans at U.S. wireless carriers. And at $179, the G1 is $20 less than the least expensive iPhone in the U.S.

No Peg For Ringgit + Fuel Price Decision

Reported that Finance Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the ringgit will not be re-pegged, citing the government’s commitment to let market forces determine the currency's level.

Najib, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, said the Cabinet will on Wednesday decide on the price of fuel at the pump.

I hope that government will reduce the price after the global crude oil dipped below US$100 (RM349) per barrel compared with the high of US$147 in July. It will be a great news if it is happened before Hari Raya's festival.

Al-Quran Dalam Bahasa Dunia

Tanggal 17 Ramadan 610 Masihi menjadi detik permulaan kalam Allah, al-Quran diturunkan.

Ayat terakhir, ayat 281 surah al-Baqarah diturunkan sembilan hari sebelum kewafatan Rasulullah. Apabila baginda menghembuskan nafasnya yang terakhir, mukjizat agung tinggalan baginda hanyalah kitab suci al-Quran, selain al-hadis yang menjadi pedoman dan panduan umat Islam seluruh dunia sehingga ke akhir zaman.

Hari ini, Islam telah berkembang luas. Merentasi benua dan merentasi sempadan bangsa. Meskipun al-Quran diturunkan dalam bahasa Arab, namun usaha untuk memahami pengertiannya menjadi milik semua umat manusia.

Namun, bukan semua orang memahami bahasa Arab.

Najib Launches Personal Website

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak has launched his personal website at www.1Malaysia.com.my

In statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s office, the website is intended to be a forum for all Malaysians to exchange views on the important issues that face them as well as to promote common goals and highlight the nation’s unique diversity.

Najib in the statement said he was concerned that certain quarters were seeking to drive wedges between Malaysia’s communities for political and personal gain and www.1Malaysia.com.my was intended as a portal through which members of the public could directly engage in open and honest dialogue directly with him as the Deputy Prime Minister.

“I do not believe in the politics of “deceive, divide and rule”. Returning to our long held belief in unity and mutual respect is more important now than ever,’ he said.

He said the website was for all Malaysians and he encouraged those who rely on the Internet for information, communication, and community to join this discussion.

“As I work to update my skills, I will need your input and response to let me know how I am doing. The insight of the online community increasingly reflects what is important to Malaysians and I am eager to gain that perspective.” “I hope this website will initiate an open and vital dialogue, exploring our Malaysian identity, purpose and direction. As a father of two teenagers, I am both familiar with and resigned to heated debate and disagreement.” “Let’s proceed as the extended family we are. Let’s practice courtesy in our discourse and make understanding the primary goal of our interaction,” he said.

Najib also encouraged people to join him in defining Malaysia and the role Malaysians must play in its future.

“Each of us despite our differences, shares a desire for a better tomorrow.

Each of us wants opportunity, respect, friendship, and understanding. Each one of us, in our unique way, is Malaysian. Together, we are One Malaysia. I hope we will keep this conversation going,” said Najib.

Najib also encouraged all Malaysians to join this dialogue, gain the perspective of their fellow citizens, and provide direct feedback on how our government can more fully respect Malaysian society.

Abdullah, Najib Swap Portfolios

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today swapped the finance and defence portfolios between them.

With this, Abdullah now handles the Defence Ministry while Najib takes care of the Finance Ministry.

Both leaders also stay committed to the transfer of power in 2010 as planned, which means that Abdullah will defend his Umno president post and Najib, the deputy president post, in the December party elections.

Najib taking over the finance portfolio was part of the power transition process between the two leaders by giving him (Najib) more roles, said Abdullah at a news conference at his office here today, with Najib also present.

Abdullah said the finance portolio was important, taking into consideration the current economic situation in the country and uncertain world economic climate.
He believed that Najib would shoulder his responsibility in his new portfolio well, especially in ensuring that the economy remained strong to face the challenges.

Abdullah said with Najib as finance minister now, he (Najib) could play a more important role when in New York for the United Nations General Assembly next week.

This was because Najib would get to meet the foreign investors and fund managers while in New York in his new capacity, he added.

The prime minister also announced that Najib would now assume the post of deputy chairman of Khazanah Nasional, the investment holding arm of the government, in line with his position as finance minister. The post was previously held by Abdullah.

Meanwhile, Najib said Abdullah’s decision to appoint him finance minister showed his sincerity that he (Najib) would be his successor.

“This also reflects the prime minister’s confidence in me, and I will always discuss and refer matters to him, particularly on the economy, its direction and priorities, so that the policies appear clearer and precise,” he said.

Abdullah, when asked about the drop in the world crude oil price, said: “The more it comes down, the better.”

The world crude oil price dropped to US$92 a barrel yesterday.

However, Abdullah said the price decline would also cause a drop in Petronas’ revenue.

Asked whether the petrol and diesel pump prices would be reduced, he said:

“Wait lah...next time.”

Harga minyak AS$97.85 setong

Harga minyak mentah light sweet untuk penghantaran Oktober di pasaran kontrak utama New York jatuh AS$0.93 sen (RM3.23) kepada AS$101.65 (RM353) setong.

"Harga minyak dijangka terus jatuh kerana pasaran kini menumpukan pada peningkatan mata wang dolar AS dan kebimbangan berhubung permintaan," kata seorang penganalisis, Michael Davies.

Big Bang

Japanese Philosophy That Focuses On Continuous Improvement Throughout All Aspects Of Life
The most effective kaizen must operate with three principles in place:

-> consider the process and the results (not results-only) so that actions to achieve effects are surfaced;

-> systematic thinking of the whole process and not just that immediately in view (i.e. big picture, not solely the narrow view) in order to avoid creating problems elsewhere in the process; and

-> a learning, non-judgmental, non-blaming (because blaming is wasteful) approach and intent will allow the re-examination of the assumptions that resulted in the current process.
